About Me

I am concerned with what make people flourish. I believe that we sell ourselves short if we only aim for a reduction to our ailments, whether these are problems with our mood, anxiety, social circumstances or health. I am a highly qualified Counselling Psychologist, CBT Psychotherapist, Mindfulness teacher and Life Coach. I hold nine University qualifications and I am currently working towards a PhD focused on human flourishing. My work extends to over two decades working in a number of settings.I work with a small caseload to bring all my energy and resources to better the life of those, I have the privilege of working with.

I work mainly with adults, combining my mental health experience with my interest in positive psychology and coaching.

I feel privilege to work with others, and welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can best be of help. Whether we realise that we are a great match, or whether I can advice on other pathways to follow, I welcome the opportunity of bringing my skills and expertise to help others on their path to flourishing.

My clinical experience and career path

I am a Psychologist and Psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience in clinical practice, working with adults of working age in a variety of clinical settings. The main psychotherapeutic approaches I apply are within the range of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy (Cognitive, Cognitive Behavioural and Behavioural Therapies). I have a keen interest in the application of Mindfulness based interventions, and I have completed specialist training on Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, as part of my doctoral studies in Counselling Psychology. My interest is on what make people flourish, and as such I have recently completed further training in coaching with the University of Cambridge and I am pursuing research interest in the area.

My clinical training began in Argentina, where in 1998 I qualified with distinction as an applied Psychologist (Licenciada en Psicologia). I have since pursued further studies in the UK and Spain in the areas of applied clinical psychology, psychological research and psychotherapy to specialize in Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology.

I am experienced in clinical supervision and training. I have had the opportunity to supervise and be involved in the training of trainee clinical psychologists, junior doctors and cognitive and behavioural psychotherapists in Oxford and currently in East Anglia. At present, I work as a module leader, clinical supervisor and lecturer to the University of Hertfordshire. I am the Module Leader for the subject “Common Mental Health Problems” as part of the IAPT / MSc in CBT programme. I have also worked as a visiting lecturer, offering supervision and examining to Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and an External Examiner to the University of Derby for the PGDip in CBT/IAPT programme. Further supervision duties include the provision of clinical supervision to accredited CBT therapists at the University of Cambridge, Counselling Services.

My applied clinical research interests are in the area of wellbeing, and I am looking into the concept of thriving / Flourishing as part of my Doctorate studies. My core previous research experience is in the area of trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Between 2008 and 2014 I worked as the lead clinician for a randomised controlled research trial for survivors of intensive care treatment, developed at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in collaboration with the MRC-CBU, Cambridge Clinical Research Centre for Affective Disorders, University of Cambridge.

I manage the Cambridge Centre for CBT, Cambridge Centre for Mindfulness and Cambridge Flourishing. Cambridge CBT has been operating since 2010 and coordinates the practice of experienced CBT therapists providing therapy to all age groups in a private setting.

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS – and a member of the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP -, where I am accredited as a CBT Psychotherapist and Supervisor.
